We can feed 4190 children school lunch every day

Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty for orphaned and vulnerable children. They have the determination; we provide them with an opportunity. In a typical year, just $25 can feed one of our students for an entire year. However, due to a combination of adverse weather conditions in Kenya, the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and global inflation, the costs of maize and beans have doubled. Our families are facing greater hardships than ever before. In 2023, we are committed to supporting 4,371 students. Additionally, we extend our support by providing weekend and holiday meals to 150 child-headed households.

To ensure we can cover the needs of all these deserving students, we now require $50 per child. The total cost for each school is $3,600. We have ambitious plans to add a new school in 2024, bringing our total to 21 schools.
