In 2016 I traveled with Umoja Partnership to western Kenya for the first time. There I personally witnessed how modest funds can create huge opportunity for at-risk children living with great challenges. A decade later I am honored to serve on the board of the Umoja Partnership because I believe so firmly in the mission of education. Education opens doors to opportunity like nothing else and, believe me, these girls and boys have the strongest desire to pursue that opportunity. Unfortunately, their difficult environment frequently interferes with that desire and prevents them from fulfilling their potential. By joining me to support the Umoja Partnership, you will help more than 5,400 students in primary and junior high school get the education they need to lift themselves beyond their circumstances.
Through Umoja, a donation of just $50 provides school lunch for a child for an entire year. This is likely the only meal each day that a child can count on and it is a big enabler of them staying in school. I hope you'll add your gift of $50 or more to meet our 2026 goals.
