Let's ensure that 5,444 eat at least one meal every day!

Friends, In 1973, I visited our Kenyan schools when the teachers were on strike. Instead of kids in school, we saw kids playing soccer with plastic bag balls. Happy kids! There was no school for them for several days but they came to be fed! I sat with a large group of these students before lunch and we connected over games of hangman and ti tac toe on donated paper pads. I tried to return to Kenya tin 2020 but Covid hit and my second trip didn't happen. I'm still cheering and supporting these students in their endeavor to thrive and learn .

With your help, we can nourish the bodies of vulnerable children and ensure they are prepared to learn. Education is a pathway out of poverty for them, and our school lunch program is the first step toward helping our Kenyan brothers and sisters.

Weather conditions, the pandemic, and inflation have permanently doubled the cost of school lunches. It used to cost $25 to feed a child school lunch for a year, and now it costs $50! To reach all the students in need, we will need to raise $50 per child to cover the costs for the year.

The cost for grains alone for each of our 21 partner schools is $4,225.

Any amount raised toward my goal will fulfill our purpose of keeping kids in school and offering them a pathway out of poverty through education.
