Join the Umoja Partnership in supporting young students in western Kenya to continue school by providing school lunches and other resources

The hope that the Umoja Partnership provides for these children empowers them to continue in their education and reminds them that God cares for them.

In the Summer of 2018, I had the opportunity to spend a month as an intern with the Umoja Partnership in Kenya. Each week day, we visited a different primary school (the project supports 19 in total) and assessed home visits with some of the children in the program. Several of these children live in child headed homes without any support from an adult figure. The hope that the Umoja Partnership provides for these children empowers them to continue in their education despite many challenges they face. These children repeatedly told us about the hope they feel because of the Umoja Project. They taught me about the tangible impact that hope has on their lives. Hope that they experience in the form of school lunches, books, mentors, and encouragement provided by the Umoja Partnership. The children shared with us that this tangible hope reminds them that God loves them, provides for them, and cares for them.
