Dear friends and family,
As many of you know, I was scheduled to work in Kenya this summer, as part of my degree requirements at Duke Divinity School in Durham, North Carolina. This assignment has been rescinded due to the coronavirus (COVID-19).
While I'm sadden because of a missed opportunity to be there in person to serve the Kenyan children and families of the Umojo Project Interfaith Partnership, I have decided to show virtual love and hospitality.
Many of the children that I was scheduled to serve, lost their homes because of the heavy rains and mud slides. I plan to buy a house for a family! A house only costs $750! Will you join me in buying a house for a family? If you'd rather provide for food instead of (or in addition to) buying a house, any amount you are able to contribute will help. The project serves one meal a day to our school aged students. This is the only meal most of them will receive on a particular day.
Will you join me in showing love and hospitality to Kenyan children and families from our circle of friends and families to theirs'?
